When Jesus told the paralytic to pick up his bed and go home, the guy did not remain on his bed saying
“Amen! Lord I believe your word. I believe that I’m gonna walk again one day.”
“Amen! Lord I believe your word. I believe that I’m gonna walk again one day.”
What did he do?
He jumped up, picked up his bed and did what? Walked!
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith represents the invisible hands used to hold unto the promises of God to pull them out of the invisible spiritual realm, into the visible physical realm; making what was promised a manifest reality.
The stronger your belief in what God has told you, the stronger your grasp on the reality or substance of the promise in the spiritual dimension.
When you truly believe and consistently think, act and speak like you already have what God says He has given to you, you constrain them to materialize faster in the physical realm.
Whenever you doubt God’s promises or Words due to the physical reality, situation and experiences surrounding you, you actually let go of that which you are holding in the spiritual realm and push their physical manifestation further into the future.
But when you hold on to God’s words regardless of what you feel, see or hear, you pull that spiritual substance closer and closer into the physical realm until it crosses over and pops up into the physical realm as a miracle.
That is what our Great great great grand Father Abraham did. He believed that he was still going to be the Father of many nations even though his body and that of his wife Sarah, told them quite a different story; with strong empirical evidence; that it was absolutely impossible for them to have children.
Why did He believe? Simply because God had said that it was going to happen.
And He knew that it was, and is impossible for God to lie. He will definitely fulfill His promises.
As usual, God proved Himself faithful at the end of the day.
For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
Some miracles happen instantly and some just take longer. Whatever the case may be, DO NOT let go of what you are holding in the spirit.
Doubt and unbelief will definitely rob you of your miracle. Do not take heed to the negative things the enemy says in your mind, nor pay attention to the bleak pictures he presents concerning your situation.
Instead, focus on what God has said and allow nothing to distract you because your miracle is about to manifest in Jesus name.
That is why Jesus said so many times that
“your faith has made you whole.”
Believe on His Word and act on it like it happened already because it actually did.
When Jesus told the paralytic at the pool of Bethesda to pick up his bed and go home, the guy did not remain on his bed saying
“Amen. Lord I believe your word. I believe that I’m gonna walk again one day.”
What did he do?
He jumped up, picked up his bed and did what? Walked.
Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.
Did you see that? The man was made whole as soon as Jesus spoke to him. He had two options; sit there and wonder if he was really healed; and wait until he felt healed, or believe and take immediate action. He did the former and received his miracle.
When God makes a prophetic declaration over you through His servants, or speaks to you directly through the written word, a dream or a vision, everything needed to bring the word to pass is released.
Your part is to take action by faith. You don’t have to “feel” like it has already happened before moving. You move by faith and in obedience then the feelings will follow.
Many of us miss our miracles because we are waiting to “feel” as if God has answered our prayers first. We hold back because we don’t feel as if God has actually done what He said He has done.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
This scripture about receiving wisdom applies to everything else you hope to receive from God.
You must believe that God is good. You must believe that He enjoys giving good things to His children including you. You must believe that He is on your side and not against you. You must believe that He is faithful and would give you that which you ask. You must believe that He is not setting you up for failure.
You cannot continue to pray for God to heal you for ever. A time comes when you must believe He has answered your prayers.
A time comes when you must receive the answer by faith, thank Him for it and take action; which includes acting like it and trying to do the things you could not do before. Amen.
When Jesus told Peter to “come” when He was walking on the sea, Peter did not remain in the boat saying
“yes Lord I believe You can save me from this violent storm if I come to meet you on the water.”
What did he do? He jumped into the raging sea and did what? Walked on the water.
And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come.
And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
When Jesus told the blind man to go and wash in the pool of Siloam, he did not say
“come on Lord, are you serious. Why would you send me to the pool of Siloam which is half a mile away when you can just heal me right here?”
What did he do? I believe he said
“absolutely Lord! Thank you so much. I’m on my way right now.”
He went, washed, and saw. Praise God!
And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
We can’t fold our hands and try to dictate how God should bring our miracles. He is the Lord. He does it how He wants and on His terms. All we have to do is believe, obey, and take action. Amen.
Do not try to put God in a box. You may still be expecting Him to come in through that large front door, when He has been sitting besides you all along.
When you pray for healing and God poignantly quickens a healing scripture in your spirit which declares that you are healed; what should you do?
Receive it. Jump out of that bed, thank Him for your healing, hop into the shower, dress up and go shopping! Regardless of how you may feel initially.
What I’m saying essentially is that you should act and speak like someone who is healed already because you are. Why? Because God said so.
Oh this is a good one… When an anointed servant of God prays for you to be baptized in the Holy Ghost, what should you do? Purse your lips tightly and wait for the Holy Spirit to force it open and articulate the words? No way!
What you do is receive. Believe God has baptized you with His Spirit, open your mouth and just speak by faith. I know it sounds weird and stupid, but that is just how Faith works.
Those who walk by faith are often considered stupid because they make critical moves based on nothing else, but what God has said.
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Imagine how the townspeople considered Noah when he was building an ark because he “thought” God was going to drown the entire world with a deluge!
Of course Noah was acting in obedience to what God had told him and was not “thinking” that the world would be destroyed. He knew that the flood was imminent as a matter of fact, but to the ordinary observer, he was deluded.
I can imagine the tweets, hashtags and headlines blaring off: “poor soul”, “that is what old age does to you”, “religious fanaticism”, “crazy retarded preacher”, “the floody guy”… and the list goes on.
Folks may stigmatize you as psychologically deranged when you take a step of faith in obedience to the word of God, but don’t take it personal. They will join you in celebration soon.
You might have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit already and don’t even realize it.
Our Lord Jesus gave ample assurance that you will receive when you ask;
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
Have you ever found yourself in a position of worship or prayer so intense that, at a certain point, you just don’t know how to express your heart anymore because it is so full, and suddenly… you find yourself saying some things that do not make sense… like gibberish… then you catch yourself in the middle like… what in the world was I saying?! What was that?! Oh God help me!
You might have panicked and stopped praying altogether thinking something is wrong with you. No Beloved, nothing is wrong with you. In fact everything is right with you.
That is the Spirit of your Father coming to make intercessions on your behalf. Thank Him for such an experience and consciously invite the Holy Spirit to have His way in your life.
When you experience His Holy presence again… when you feel like speaking those words you don’t understand… do not hold back for anything… Let that fire flow! Let that Living Water flow from the very depths of your soul. Speak it and speak it out loud! Speak for as long as possible. And do it everyday.
If you truly believe, you will act spontaneously. In other words, the only way to show God that you really believe what He has spoken to you- be it directly, in a dream, His Word, or through His servant-is to act on the word.
You don’t want to believe in God like the devil does. The Bible says in James that even the devils believe in God and tremble.
What the devil does not do is act on the word of God. He does not obey the Word of God.
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Here is the formula:
Belief + Inaction = unbelief
Belief + Action = Faith
The difference between someone who really believes in God and someone who only does so superficially is very clear.
Show me someone who takes action based on what God has said… who walks in accordance with the Word of God and I will show you a true believer… a man or a woman of faith.
Show me someone who walks contrary to the word of God, or someone who does not act on the Word of God and I will show you an unbeliever or a doubter.
You are far more superior than the devil. You are a believer and a child of God. Act on the Word in every area of your life and see what happens.
It is time for action. Move and see what God does.
