God you are a scammer! You scammed us into believing in and following you for 40 years in the desert only for you to leave us hanging in midair. Shameless Scammer and “4-1-9!”

This is just one of the things said by the children of Israel when they refused to believe that God was able to give them the Promised Land like He had promised.

Question: Can the devil stop or delay God from fulfilling His promises in your life?

Answer: No. Absolutely not.

Question: Can satanists, witches, necromancers and all your enemies successfully stop or delay God from accomplishing that which He promised in your life?

Answer: A resounding No, Never!

Dear friend, you can rest assured that God’s words and promises to you shall come to pass and no one has the capability to stop or hinder Him from performing His promise.

However, there is a power and a language that will make it impossible for God to bless you and bring His promises to accomplishment. Even God Himself would not override that power because it emanates from a decision you make from a free will.

The Bible says that it is impossible for God to Lie and that all the promises of God in Christ Jesus are yea and Amen.

“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?Numbers 23:19

“The Glory of Israel will not lie or change His mind; for He is not a man that He should change His mind.” 1 Samuel 15:29

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; Titus 1:2

But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay. For the Son of GodJesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God… 2 Corinthians 1:20

As far as God is concerned, every single thing He has purposed, promised and willed over your life shall ABSOLUTELY come to pass without fail.

He started and finished all His grand and wonderful plans over your life from eternity. So it is already settled. He is not struggling to figure out what to do about your current, past or future circumstances.

He knows all the good and bad things that have and will happen to you in the future and has already made provisions to navigate you out of them all with flying colors and victory. Halleluiah!

So relax and rest assured in faith knowing that He got it all covered.

God’s Words and Promises Vs the Power and Language of Unbelief

Yes, it is Gods will to bless you. It is His will to deliver you. It is His will to heal you. It is His will to see you prosper in every aspect of your life.

That notwithstanding, we know from Biblical history that so many people with great potential and incredible promises over their lives wallowed in the dark and perished in mediocrity, insignificance and depression. Why did that happen? Did God lie to them? Did He change His mind concerning them?

Why haven’t you experienced the fulfillment of Gods promises over certain areas of your life yet? Has He changed His mind concerning you? Did He lie to you? Did you do something wrong that got Him really upset?

Or, is that there is something you are not doing? OR, maybe you are doing the right things the wrong way… Is it fear and doubt or unbelief that is holding you back?

Do you really believe God like you say you do?

What if everything happening to you right now is part of God’s will for you? That includes the disappointment, the errors, the failures, the betrayals, the loss of good friends, loved ones and nice jobs?

These are questions that race through our minds when we find ourselves in a transitory position. The position after the promises are made and before they are fulfilled. It is the waiting period after we seek His face in prayer and looking forward to seeing the answers.

One thing I can tell you for sure is that as far as you hold on to Jesus Christ with all your heart… as far as you believe in Him to the best of your ability…

as far as you serve Him with all honesty and transparency… as far as you make every effort to please and obey Him in every way and in all your dealings…

as far as you put Him first in everything you do… as far as you do not take Him nor His grace for granted…

as far as you genuinely love Him with all your heart and seek to honor Him daily…

as long as you truly treat Him as Lord and Master… and seek to obey His Spirit and leadership in everything…

He will never let you down. He will never change His mind or plans concerning you. He will definitely bring His promises to pass.

He will hear and answer your prayers. You should never doubt that.

No devils, witches, satanists or enemies can hold you back when God lifts you up.

Just remember that He works everything out for our good and for His glory even when we don’t see or feel it.

King Saul presumed that he beleived in God, but he did not. He did not have faith. When God called and anointed him, He made a promise to bless him and to perpetuate his kingship through his children for generations to come.

Did that happen? No. Why? Because Saul abandoned His humility and dependence on God and decided to trust in his own wisdom and strength.

Because he blatantly disobeyed God repeatedly and took His love and grace for granted. Saul failed because He abandoned the path that God had prepared for Him and created a new one for himself.

There is a path you must walk on that will lead you to all the great things God has prepared for you in this life and for eternity.

It is the path to a sure destiny. You cannot go wrong walking on this path. You may stumble, you may face opposition, you definitely will face difficulties, but if you stick to it and keep on going, your victory is sure to come. This is guaranteed.

God’s Words and Promises VS the Power and Language of Unbelief

The only path to true success, true achievement and true prosperity for you is the one which God has prepared and customized specifically for you. That is why you really can’t compare your experience with someone else’. The path may be lonely, unpleasant and unpopular, but it definitely leads to your elevation.

You will experience a deep peace in your soul when you walk in this path even though your mind may be troubled and spinning with thousands of thoughts. Stick to it and trust God for eventual breakthrough.

See Peace Amidst Life’s Violent Storms.

Deviation from this path leads to a load of frustration, heart-ache, pain, failure, confusion and depression. I will tell you about this path in a moment.

Had King Saul remained in the path which God had made for Him, He would have enjoyed a long and prosperous reign just like God had promised. And His sons would have continued his dynasty for generations.

It never happened because Saul thought he knew better. He thought he could figure it out all by himself. He thought he could do it his own way, create his own path and make it big even without God.

A similar fate befell the children of Israel, but the circumstances were even more interesting.

God had promised to be their God, to save, bless and protect them. He had promised to deliver them from the bondage of Egypt and take them to a land flowing with milk and honey.

Which he did. Only that… well… only that it did not happen the way He wanted.

The children of Israel had endured all kinds of trials and temptations in the wilderness and were finally at the concluding lapse of the journey.

They were essentially at the very edge… the very borders of the Promised Land. They were almost there. Just like God had promised.

But something happened that changed the whole dynamic of their circumstance. Something happened that shifted the paradigm tremendously in negative way.

They could no longer enter into the Promised Land. They had to turn around and go right back into the desert in which they had been traveling for 40 years.

Worst still, about half a million of them had to die prematurely in the desert because of what had transpired.

What did they do to bring such a calamity upon themselves? What sin did they commit that caused God to change His mind concerning them? What iniquity did they commit that motivated God to rescind His blessing upon them and replaced it with a curse?

No. It was not ADULTERY or fornication. It was not murder, idolatry, rape or homosexuality as bad as these may sound. Guess what the problem was… unbelief!

I know. I thought so too. How could the children of Israel; God’s own chosen people; delivered with such awesome signs, wonders and miracles; lose everything including their lives just because of unbelief? Is unbelief such a terrible sin? Is it such a big deal?

Unbelief is the opposite of faith. And the Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6

See Practical Faith That Produces Miracles and Moves Mountains.

We can induce from the aforementioned situation that unbelief is a very big deal as far as God is concerned.

His people adamantly refused to believe that He was able to deliver what He had promised. Even after witnessing the great signs and wonders in Egypt, even after witnessing the miraculous parting of Red sea through which they crossed on dry land.

God’s chosen people intentionally decided to forget the great things He did for them in the past. They neglected to make reference to the mighty testimonies God Had given to them of His grace, mercy and power.

Your testimony as a child of God is very powerful. It is a mighty weapon you can use to overcome the enemy, but when we neglect it, we become easy preys to the wiles of the enemy.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death. Rev. 12:11

The Israelites fell into the ultimate trap of the enemy when they did just that; forgetting their testimony-an unwillingness to look back into the great things God had done for them in the past to draw strength and garner faith so as to believe God and go through current challenges.

So what they were essentially saying to God when they refused to believe the report of Joshua and Caleb could be summarized below:

  • God you are a liar. You lied to us that you would bring us to a land flowing with milk and honey, but we just found out that the land already belongs to very powerful giants whom we can never defeat. Liar!
  • God you are a scammer. You scammed us into believing in and following you for 40 years in the desert only for you to leave us hanging in midair.

We have never been warriors all our lives, we don’t even have any weapons. So how in the world are we going to defeat these giants even if we decided to fight them? Scammer!

  • God you are weak. Yea we remember how you did all those miracles in Egypt and in the desert. But this is a different ballgame altogether.

We are talking about real giants here. Not little Pharaoh and his army. We know you are not powerful enough to beat these guys. Shame on you! Weak God!

  • God you are wicked and intrinsically evil. You took us out from the nice comfort of Egypt and from the protection of Pharaoh only to kill us and our children in this desert.

Are you really God or some malevolent spirit pretending to be God? We think Pharaoh is way better than you and would rather go back and serve him than to hang out with someone like you. Yes, they actually said it. Check this out.

The Israelites said to them, “If only we had died by the LORD’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.” Exodus 16:3

4The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said, “If only we had meat to eat!

5We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost—also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic.

6But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!”

Numbers 11:4-5

  • We reject you. We have consciously and willfully decided and chosen to disobey you. You can no longer be our God and you will not be bossing anyone around here anymore. We will no longer follow your commandments. We will not follow your orders. We know better and we will do it our way.

5Then Moses and Aaron fell face down in front of the whole Israelite assembly gathered there.

6Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had explored the land, tore their clothes

7and said to the entire Israelite assembly, “The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good.

8If the Lord is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us.

9Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will devour them. Their protection is gone, but the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.”

10But the whole assembly talked about stoning them. Then the glory of the Lord appeared at the tent of meeting to all the Israelites. Numbers 14:5-10

Their misconceptions derailed them into a morbid, slippery chasm out of which they could not be extricated.

They probably believed that they were just talking and acting in fear, but God heard them from a totally different perspective and He heard them clearly.

That explains why He made a new decision and initiated an alternate course of action for them.

11The Lord said to Moses, “How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of all the signs I have performed among them? Numbers 14:11

20The Lord replied, “I have forgiven them, as you asked. 21Nevertheless, as surely as I live and as surely as the glory of the Lord fills the whole earth,

22not one of those who saw my glory and the signs I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness but who disobeyed me and tested me ten times— 23not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath to their ancestors.

No one who has treated me with contempt will ever see it. 24But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.

25Since the Amalekites and the Canaanites are living in the valleys, turn back tomorrow and set out toward the desert along the route to the Red Sea.a ”

26The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: 27“How long will this wicked community grumble against me? I have heard the complaints of these grumbling Israelites.

28So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very thing I heard you say:

29In this wilderness your bodies will fall—every one of you twenty years old or more who was counted in the census and who has grumbled against me.

30Not one of you will enter the land I swore with uplifted hand to make your home, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

As for your children that you said would be taken as plunder, I will bring them in to enjoy the land you have rejected.

32But as for you, your bodies will fall in this wilderness.

Your children will be shepherds here for forty years, suffering for your unfaithfulness, until the last of your bodies lies in the wilderness.

34For forty years—one year for each of the forty days you explored the land—you will suffer for your sins and know what it is like to have me against you.’

35I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will surely do these things to this whole wicked community, which has banded together against me. They will meet their end in this wilderness; here they will die.”  Exodus 14:20-35

This is indeed a very serious and fearful situation. Every man 20 years and over actually perished in the wilderness, with the exception of Joshua and Caleb who had exercised faith and believed  that God was able to deliver them.

In the New Testament, the Bible records that our Lord Jesus Christ Himself could not do any miracles in His hometown because of unbelief. Mark 6:5

It is not that He did not want to, but could not. Unbelief has such a negative effect on the flow of God’s grace and power.

It is like turning the ignition off and expecting the vehicle to move full speed ahead.

Are there areas in your life where you have been doubting God and His ability to save, heal or deliver you?

Have you been silently saying the same things the Children of Israel said to God through fear, doubt and an unwillingness to believe His Words and promises?

Have you been grumbling all along the way and secretly wishing to return to your old lifestyle in Egypt?

Or have you been thankful for your salvation, trusting God and believing that He got everything covered…

that He will take care of you and your loved ones… that He will bless, protect and keep you in spite of the attacks of the enemies…

that He is good and working everything out for your good, even when you don’t see or understand every detail?

I have to emphasize the fact that the quality of our relationship with God has profound consequences on our children.

Those involved in witchcraft and devil worship end up having children that are heavily possessed with evil spirits from their childhood.

Children that are lost in deep darkness and deception. Children that live constantly under the shadow of death; cursed, blinded and derailed right from the start because their parents live in darkness.

On the other hand, those who walk with God give birth to Children in the Light, favor and mercy of God. Some of them even get anointed right from the womb like John the Baptist.

The Words and Promises of God VS the Power and Language of Unbelief

Note that the children of the Israelites had to suffer by default because of the sins of their parents.

Not because God had cursed or had any issues with them. Since their parents got themselves stuck in the wilderness, the children could not go forward into the Promised Land either. God would not separate them from their parents and cause a rift in the family.

Fortunately, God is a good God and always makes a way even when there is none. Although He rejected the First generation of Israelites for their doubt, fear and unbelief, He carried on His plans and promises with the second generation that was willing to believe and work with Him.

He took them to the Promised Land and defeated all the giants. He did exactly as He had promised from the very beginning. Why? Because the new generation made it a point to walk in the path He had set for them. They did not deviate from it in spite of the temptations and circumstances that suggested otherwise.

God rejected the parents, but fulfilled His promise with the children who were more cooperative. Did God fulfill His promise? Of course He did, but not with disobedient rebels who refused to trust God.

On a more positive note, there are folks in the Bible who stayed faithful and committed with God who experienced tremendous blessings as a result.

Take Joseph for example. God gave him a dream-call it a promise or prophecy-that he would become a great ruler in the future.

Joseph endured all kinds of betrayals, temptations, hardships, rejection and suffering from family, friends and foes, but He stood with God.

He remained faithful; trusting that God would do what He had promised regardless of circumstances. And God indeed proved Himself faithful. He did exactly as promised; raising Joseph to become a great ruler in Egypt. Genesis 37-50

What about Daniel and his friends Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego?

They went through a series of temptations and extremely trying situations, but the decided to trust God even at the risk of their lives.

God manifested His faithfulness, grace and mercy because they remained true to Him and refused to compromise with sin. He blessed and promoted them in various degrees.

Daniel 1-6

David was anointed as King of Israel by the venerable Prophet Samuel, but he spent about 10-15 years running away from King Saul and hiding in caves, mountains and forests like a vagabond.

God had promised to make him great and  establish his throne for ever, however he went through periods of hard trials and temptations.

He went through situations that provoked and tempted him to doubt the goodness and faithfulness of God. However, he made up his mind to trust in God regardless of circumstances.

At the end of the day, God raised him up as promised and has established his kingdom for ever.

So will God fulfill the promises He has made concerning your life? Absolutely! Will he bring the prophecies into fulfillment? Most definitely! Will He save, bless, protect and promote you as promised? Most assuredly!

However, you must walk with Him faithfully and whole-heartedly. You must walk in obedience and in holiness.

You need to believe that He is able to perform what He has promised regardless of apparent impossibilities.

You need to believe that He is able to make it happen in spite of your weaknesses and shortcomings.

You must trust, praise and thank Him even when He seems to be working against you.

He is a faithful God. He will do more than we can ever ask, think or imagine.

It is time to move forward in faith and belief in God’s love, goodness, mercy and faithfulness. Milk and honey, signs and wonders, abundance and blessings await you on the other side.

Fear not. God’s words, promises and prophecies over your life shall come to pass in due season as you walk, trust and keep your covenants with Him.
